What is Paint Correction?
Paint Correction is the process of leveling/removing swirl marks and scratches in the top layer of your paint’s finish.
Using a machine buffer or polisher correctly is essential for removing paint defects like bird droppings, swirl marks, light scratches, scuffs, sanding marks, and water spots. Proper lighting is crucial during paint correction to identify all imperfections and ensure they are fully eliminated. When executed correctly, paint correction significantly enhances the paint’s color, depth, metallic or pearl effects, and overall gloss. This process permanently removes surface defects, restoring a flawless finish.
How Does Paint Correction Work?
We offer 3 different levels of paint correction (1-step, 2-step, and 3-step) depending on the color, age, and condition of paint.
These three stages are differentiated based on the methods, products and time required to polish the vehicle properly.
Our 1-Step is meant only to enhance gloss and remove extremely light oxidation.
Our 2-Step is our most popular choice and is meant to remove light/moderate wash scratches, swirls and defects.
Our 3-Step is reserved for heavy oxidation, deeper random scratches and major defects in the paint.
Is Claying and Decontaminating The Same As Paint Correction?
No it is not the same
But, they are related services and are done in combination with each other to achieve paint correction. Decontamination and claying the paint is included in any paint correction service.
